About us
Wilfreds pies and desserts are made on the edge of the Gower peninsular in Wales. We make a range of meat, vegetarian and plant based pies and pastries. Pie makers since 1936.
Our pies include Welsh steak, chicken, Welsh cheddars, blue cheeses and welsh condiments, using Welsh ales and ciders to compliment our ingredients. Our pies are award winning including multiple British Pie Awards and Great Taste Awards.

I found Wilfred Pies and decided to give the 'steak & gower ale' pies from Wilfred a try. The pies were delivered earlier than expected and I ate one. I can't remember ever eating any pie as good in my life. The Wilfreds pie was delicious. I ordered more and I have decided that I will always have Wilfreds pies in stock from now on.
The 'Saucy Cows' were packed to the rafters with tender steak and a lovely rich gravy. They arrived in a box within a box for protection and were snuggly packed in with chilling packs within an insulated box. They were also accompanied with instructions for cooking and storage and a little note from Wilf himself which was a lovely touch.
The pies are large with a generous and delicious filling. The steak inside the pie is beautifully cooked, melts in the mouth and is surrounded by a rich, thick gravy. The pastry cooks lovely and crispy. The pies are packed well and arrive in perfect condititon packed with ice packs to keep them fresh. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.
Steak is always succulent, no grissle, good depth of flavour with perfect seasoning. We’ve had these pies (different fillings) for few years and have not been disappointed yet. Definitely recommend.
